Well… it’s summertime and The Walking Dead is waaaaaaaaaaay too far off to even begin anticipating Season 7. The only interesting news is when AMC threatens to sue someone for making a prediction about Negan’s kill (yeah… seriously!)
So what do we do in the meantime?
How about rewatching EVERY SINGLE episode of Episodes 1-6 (Heck… Netflix has them all) and use our discussions to create dialogue about what you saw!

Have you ever trusted someone so much that you could say that you trust them with your life? I don’t mean that you trust them to borrow your car or to loan them money. I mean trust them with your life, the life of your spouse… the life of your kids!
If you are like me, there are just a handful of people that you can really say that about. If you served in the military, you might be able to say that about some of the people you served with. If you are a first responder, it might be some of the people you work with. But for most of us, the answer to that question really is about family and a few of our closest friends.
On tonight’s season finale of The Walking Dead, we realize that

I can’t believe it’s already the end of Season Six… and that means we need to wait all the way until the fall to discover who was killed tonight!

It is usually in that moment when you feel the most confident that bad things happen.
I don’t know why this is, but extreme certainty has a way of blinding me. My mother used to remind me of this by saying, “Pride comes before a fall.” As a little kid, I never really knew what that meant exactly, but as an adult I understand it perfectly.

Have you ever made the same mistake twice?
Let’s face it, we all make mistakes – there is no shame in that. But when we make the same mistake more than once, we experience a whole different level of embarrassment. There is nothing worse than knowing that the bad situation that we got ourselves into is one that we could have avoided if we had just learned from our own mistakes. As the old saying goes, “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.”

Is it ever justified to kill someone?
What if it is in self-defense? What if the people I kill are going to murder me or my loved ones? Does “Thou shalt not kill” include war? (Should U.S. Marines use Nerf Blasters?)
Is killing ever not morally or legally wrong?
These are not just questions explored in an ethics class or in Sunday school. These are questions that virtually every civilization and religion have dealt with for millennia. And there is an entire range of answers, perspectives, and further questions. These questions arise in tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead and meet with various responses and reactions.
