Walking-Dead-CDCThe Walking Dead Season One ended up with a bang (literally), as the survivors find temporary refuge in none other than the CDC. I was bummed that they didn’t make a two part episode out of this one, as the plot lined seemed a bit rushed, and it would have been cool to spend more time with the Dr. Jenner and pick his brain for more info.

But alas, the CDC runs out of gas, and of course a facility like that is fitted with a self-destruct protocol to keep diseases from getting out. I was watching the episode thinking, “hey- why didn’t they load up made a few more gallons of diesel fuel instead of

The-Walking-Dead-Andrea-AmyDo you ever wake up with a grim view of life?

After watching Season 1, Episode 5 of The Walking Dead, I’m sure I will wake up happy for quite a while knowing that I’m not facing what Rick, Lori, Shane, and all the others had to go through after the surprise attack from the night before.

This episode took some very interesting twists as we see the survivors deal with the shock of loss, the grief process, and the rapid change that needs to take place in order for them to

The-Walking-Dead-VatosIf the power grid was shut down and world was crawling with zombies… would you look at your watch?

Dale does, and I’m sure Walking Dead fans could have hour-long discussions about his intentions. Is he grasping for control in an otherwise chaotic world? Or is he simply holding on to a memento passed on to him?

This episode offers a moment of insight about it, when Dale and Morales have the “watch discussion” (not quite as good as a certain Christopher Walken watch moment, but good nonetheless).

But prior to that we, we were thrown quite a few curves

Daryl-Dixon-The-Walking-DeadHow much are you willing to sacrifice… for your enemies?

This week, we see exactly how far Rick Grimes was willing to go for someone who didn’t deserve it.

But really… do any of us deserve it?

The episode started with a much more sentimental moment… no, not the much needed haircut that Lori gave Carl, rather the much anticipated reunion between Rick and his family. That moment was the most touching scenes in the series so far- even the music obeyed the sentimental vibes!  Not what we expected from a zombie apocalypse show, right?

We also were introduced to Merle’s brother Daryl (you can almost hear the swoons across the country), and we got confirmation that the only way to

season-1-episode-2-guts

Walking-Dead-Season-1-GutsThings are definitely heating up in and around Atlanta in the second episode of The Walking Dead, titled ‘Guts’- and I’m not just talking about the sweltering temperatures.

The opening scene obviously gives us a look into a potential coming storm as Lori (Rick’s wife) abandons her marriage locket in the throes of a passionate affair with Shane.  She assumes Rick is dead, but people should think twice before sleeping with a woman whose husband carries a gun.

It isn’t long into this episode before we begin to see Rick’s leadership ability emerge. The group that Rick teams up with is bullied by a

season-1-episode-1-days-gone-bye

Walking-Dead-Days-Gone-ByeIt seemed like a normal Halloween night in 2010. People dressed their kids in costumes and set a bowl of candy by the front door. But for comic book fans, October 31, 2010 was a huge night. This was the night Shawshank Redemption director Frank Darabont was going to begin telling the story of one of their favorite comics, The Walking Dead.

Unless you’ve been out of the country or in a coma the past few years, you’ve most likely heard the buzz. Based on a comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead, this post-apocalyptic series is now in its 4th season and going strong with a solid weekly viewership of over 12 million zombie fans.

The series stars Andrew Lincoln as sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma to find
