If you are a Christian and you are reading this column, chance are you have been asked this question: “How can you possibly watch a show about zombies?”

The question usually comes from someone who has never even watched the show, or for that matter, watched any television show or movie with zombies in them. If you’re young, maybe you have even been asked this by your parents or your youth pastor.

My wife used to be one of those who asked this question.

I have many responses to the question, but my favorite response is usually,

Deanna’s dying words to Michonne were, “What do you want?”

Who would have guessed the answer to that question was… Rick?

Season Six, Episode 10 was quite a switch from prior episodes. A couple months have passed, walls have been rebuilt, Carl’s injury has healed, and people are back to their routine.

And that’s when they met Jesus.

Finally! After several months’ hiatus, The Walking Dead is back with one of the most nail-biting episodes of the season. This chapter was bursting with intrigue, from the revelation of the name “Negan,” to the unexpected collaboration between Rick’s group and the people of Alexandria to survive. From the depths of destruction and chaos, Episode Nine gave us a glimpse of hope and redemption in the most unlikely or characters.

And we’re compelled to ask: are all people truly redeemable?

Was the Wolf? (Will we ever know?)
