Dollar Jump

dollar-jump

Hold up a dollar and offer it to anyone who can perform a simple task. Bring the sucker – I mean, “volunteer” up front and tell them that the dollar is theirs if they can simply jump over it the way you designate. Lay the dollar on the ground. Have the person stand with their toes to the dollar. They must bend over and grab their toes.

Now, tell them that they can’t let go of their toes and they must jump over the dollar. No matter how they bend, contort, etc. they won’t be able to do it. (One year I had a kid do it by jumping backward over it- but that was one in a thousand).

We did this with sending 3 guys out of the room, then sending them in one at a time. I told the audience that since it was a possible, the person who "tried the hardest" got the prize.
