What I Wish the Opposite Sex Knew About Me

This is a discussion opener that can be used during a “Split-Nite” or preceding a talk on dating, purity, or relationships. If you don’t already have small groups of guys and girls, split guys and girls up in two different rooms. This opener only takes about 15 minutes.

You can do this one of two ways: have the male leaders take the guys and the female leaders take the girls, or for some interesting insight… vice-versa, with the male leaders taking the girls and the female leaders taking the guys.

Afterward come back together as a group and ask if anyone wants to share a few of their answers with the group.

Guys:

What do you think of the way girls dress?

How does that affect you?

If there was one thing you wish they wouldn’t do, what would it be?

If there was one thing you wish they would do, what would it be?

What do you want the girls to know about you?

Girls:

What do you think of the way guys behave?

Do you think that girls affect the way guys think or behave? How?

How does the way we behave and dress affect guys?

If there was one thing you wish they wouldn’t do, what would it be?

If there was one thing you wish they would do, what would it be?

What do you want the guys to know about you?
