The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

I have never played World of Warcraft, and I was completely lost in this action packed fantasy film. I will admit that if I had ever played the game I may have really enjoyed this film. I say that because I want to be fair. There was so little about this film that I understood and even less I cared about.

There is not much of an introduction; you are just thrown into a world of orcs, humans and wizards. I literally felt like I walked into the theater late. I don’t remember the last time I was so lost watching a movie.

But there is a massive fan base, and I’m assuming many of them loved this. I would think that they liked the cast. I’m a pretty big fan of Travis Fimmel and Ben Foster. I will say this is definitely not their best work.

The effects were ok I guess. Honestly, it got to a point where it just felt like a lot of grunting and smashing things. The battle scenes felt cliché and very loud. The dialogue ranges between silly and ridiculous. And although I’m sure there was a story, I’m still not sure what it was.

Warcraft was a mess and I strongly recommend “Skipping It.”

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
There is no sex or nudity, and the language is very mild. But there is a lot of fantasy action and violence. There are epic battle sequences similar to those in Lord of the Rings and they are brutal and bloody.
