There Will Be Blood (4/8/2008)

Rated R for some violence.

Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, Boogie Nights…)

Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Mary Elizabeth Barrett…

I call this film, “There Will Be a Dud.”

That pretty well wraps it up.

Typical Oscar garbage: dark, weird, and just… ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Probably not. A little dark and bloody. But they’ll leave from boredom before any of those parts.

Side Note:
As said above, we don’t recommend this film. But on the occasion that your teen has actually already seen it, you may want to dialogue about the film with them. These questions below may be a help to you.
