Rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content, comic violence, drug references and language.
Directed by Craig Mazin
Staring Drake Bell, Sara Paxton, Christopher McDonald, Leslie Nielsen
Movies like this make you wish that movies like Scary Movie never would have made a dime, commencing the momentum for this kind of impotent spoof. In the last few years cheap parodies have become a substitute for storyline, character development, and good acting.
The film barely provoked a giggle out of me. These comedies of late lack the “Zucker” creativity that the Airplane and Naked Gun movies provided decades ago (and those were only mediocre, mind you).
SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Absolutely not. Typical PG-13 ethics, or lack there of. Sure, there’s no nudity, but there is a guy trying to get it on with a dead woman in a coffin. I won’t bore you with a list of offenses. Just skip this one.
Side Note:
As said above, we recommend you skip this film. But on the occasion that your teen has actually already seen it, you may want to dialogue about the film with them. These questions below may be a help to you.
