Strike a Pose

“Cast:
3-4 girls with SERIOUS attitude (models)
1 male: an Agent – think Ms. Jay from America’s Next Top Model
1 male: a Hunk, supermodel – think Patrick Warburton from Seinfeld & Rules of Engagement

Props:
“I’m Too Sexy” on CD player/sound system (by artist Right Said Fred)
1 purse for each girl model

Skit:
The scene opens with the Agent standing on the stage. All the girl models walk onto the stage toward the Model Agent. They all have a SERIOUS attitude.

Girl Model 1: “Umm…Hi there. We’re totally hot models and we want to join your agency.”

Girl Model 2: “Yeah!”

Agent: “OK ladies. Let’s see what you’ve got. Here, model these purses for me.” (Agent hands all girl models one purse each.) “They’re the latest Louis Vuitton handbag. They cost $92,000 dollars each. I’ll play some music for you, and you work it!” (Play “I’m Too Sexy” on a CD player or sound system.)

(When the music starts, the girl models need to start “modeling” the purses. They need to look completely stupid, striking ridiculous looking poses, while thinking they are great models. While they are trying their best, the Agent can say things like, “Work it!” “You’re an animal!” “Give it to me!” “Make me believe it!” “Strike a pose!” “Vogue baby, vogue!” Do this for about 20 seconds, then cut the music.)

Agent: “You know…I’m just not seeing it, ladies. I don’t think you have what it takes to model for my agency.”

Girl Model 3: “No wait!! Please!! We’ll try harder!! Check this out!!”

(The music starts up again and this time the girl models go absolutely crazy. They MUST BE much goofier than before. And they are all while thinking they’re doing a terrific job. The Agent needs to repeat some more silly lines like, “C’mon Darling.” “Give me ENERGY ladies.” Do this for another 20 seconds.)

(While the girl models are dancing, in walks the Hunk. He grabs one of the purses and yells out over the volume of the music.)

Hunk: Stop the music.
(music stops and everyone stares)

Hunk:  “I can’t watch this anymore. Let me show you how it’s done!” (The Hunk must go “off the hook” weird with his poses – lifting his leg, strutting around, blowing a kiss to the crowd, looking snooty at the girls, prancing around, whatever. The goofier the better!)

(After a few seconds of his dancing/modeling, all the girl models just stare at him with their jaws dropped open. because they think he’s SO good! Even the Agent should look impressed. When his “routine” comes to an end.)

Agent: “That’s it, that’s it!! He’s GOT IT!! Beautiful! You brought tears to my eyes.”

Girl Models (together): “Please teach us!! Show us how to do that!! You’re the best!! We wanna be just like you!!”

Hunk: “Alright ladies. Let’s go.” (The music picks back up and all of them walk off the stage except the Agent.)

Agent: “OK. Call me!! We’ll do lunch!” (He then “dances” off the stage to the beat of the music, too, doing a few poses himself.)

NOTE: This skit will only work if you make sure the dance routines (2 from the girls and 1 from the Hunk) get crazier and crazier!) Also, make sure you pick the right person to be the Hunk. A shy, reserved person will KILL this one!)
