My Super X-Girlfriend (12/19/2006)

Rated PG-13 for sexual content, crude humor, language and brief nudity.

Directed by Ivan Reitman

Starring Uma Thurman, Luke Wilson…

A very creative idea, but the rating says it all.

Another example of yesterday’s ‘R’ … today’s ‘PG-13.’ If you let your 13-year-old watch this film, you’ll be letting them watch Uma mount Luke and ride him like a rodeo bull. No nudity, but several minutes of ‘PG-13’ sex. If you’re cool with that… then go for it. And don’t forget to put other films like Click and The Benchwarmers in your queue.

Super X is about a guy who ends up dating a superhero, but when he dumps her, his life becomes a living hell. Funny premise, racy delivery.

I’d skip it.

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Nope. Plenty of PG-13 sex and crude humor.

Side Note:
As said above, we recommend you skip this film. But on the occasion that your teen actually has already seen it, you may want to dialogue about the film with them. These questions below may be a help to you.
