Directed by Rob Minkoff (Stuart Little and the Haunted Mansion)

Dynamic ImageA great story about a dog and his boy.

Mr. Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell) is a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel Laureate, gourmand, two-time Olympic medalist, and genius… who also happens to be a dog. Using his most ingenious invention, the WABAC machine, Mr. Peabody and his adopted boy Sherman (Max Charles) hurtle back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand and interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. But when Sherman breaks the rules of time travel, our two heroes find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future, while Mr. Peabody may face his biggest challenge yet – being a parent.

Most parents taking their kids to see this film will remember the segment called Peabody’s Improbable History on the old Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, which ran from 1959 to 1964 (and in reruns for years after that).

This isn’t the first time Hollywood has rebooted one of the characters from that show – there was Dudley Do-Right in 1999 and The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle in 2000. But they were not particularly successful from a critical or financial perspective.

I think this one is going to be different.

This one has father and son relationships, time travel, 3D animation and a witty, hilarious adventure that will have the whole family entertained.

Some of my favorite scenes include a visit to ancient Egypt with King Tut, an unscheduled stop in Florence with Leonardo and a misadventure during the Trojan War.

This really is a great film for the whole family. I say it’s “Theater Worthy.”

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Yeah this one is great for the entire family.
