Love’s Unfolding Dream (12/15/2007)

Rated G

Directed by Harvey Frost

Starring Scout Taylor-Compton

Nothing Oscar bound… but a breath of fresh air for family entertainment.

For those who have enjoyed other films in this Love Comes Softly series, you’ll enjoy this one just the same. Belinda Tyler struggles to choose between her career aspirations as a doctor and her feelings for a New York lawyer who wants a traditional wife.

Like other movies in the series, this feels much like an episode of Little House on the Prairie. Corny at times, even predictable. But the writing is solid, performances are par, and most of all… it’s good clean entertainment.

Yes, I’m probably biased. If you think Little House on the Prairie is lame… then you’ll feel the same with this series. But I, for one, liked the show as a kid, and enjoy all these films.

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Absolutely. No question.
