Another amazing Pixar film.
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
Did you catch Pixar’s Inside Out? Of course you did…we all did, and we all loved it. Well that film was off the chart when it comes to creativity, and The Good Dinosaur returns to more traditional territory. I mean there’s no shortage of animated movies about dinosaurs.
However, in true Pixar fashion, there is a creative twist. Instead of the asteroid killing the dinosaurs, it actually misses Earth. Meaning they and humans live alongside one another…that’s creative.
There may not be as many laughs as other Pixar films, but The Good Dinosaur has plenty of heart and tugs on your heartstrings. They may not have the biggest stars in Hollywood, but the cast does a great job.
The film also looks amazing. There is a scene early in the film that show moving water. It looks so realistic.
I can’t say it’s as good as Toy Story, but The Good Dinosaur is still a great movie.
SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Yes, this one is fine for the whole family.
