Rated PG-13 for sexual content, partial nudity and language.

Directed by Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon, Showtime)
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker

More like Failure to Deliver.

Can you spell cliché?

How many films do we have to see where someone is hired, dared, bet, or coerced to date someone… but then the two of them actually fall in love. BUT then, when the person finds out it was fake… pout, stomp off, “I hate you, never talk to me again!” Until… the final scene where they realize that they really did have something…

HELLO! Enough of these films. It’s been done:

  • She’s All That
  • 10 Things I Hate About You
  • How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
  • Never Been Kissed
  • Chasing Liberty

Should I go on? Okay… some old school examples:

  • Can’t Buy Me Love
  • Overboard
  • Kindergarten Cop

It’s the same ol’ thing.

Yes… there were some funny moments. Let’s face it… there’s some talent in the cast. But the overused storyline and the wannabe “Ben Stiller film humor” moments killed it.

But only watch this one if it's free, or skip it all together.

SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
No way. Once again I am amazed that these films are able to skate by under the R-radar. The film is full of inappropriate sexual humor, partial nudity… the whole family needs to skip this one.

Side Note:
As said above, we don’t recommend you or your kids see this film. But on the occasion that they actually have already seen it, you may want to dialogue about the film with them. These questions below may be a help to you.
