Our Annual Hideous Heap Contest: Rewarding You for Being a Poor Youth Worker

Any youth worker who frequents THE SOURCE knows that we love to provide you with FREE stuff. Well, it’s that time of year once again to give youth workers an opportunity to be rewarded for driving a crummy car, a hooptie, a beat up whip, a real piece, a junker, or as we like to call it … A HIDEOUS HEAP!

That’s right! It’s time for our annual HIDEOUS HEAP CONTEST. A FREE contest where you can earn some great prizes just for being a youth worker and driving a hideous heap! And this year Youth Specialties has kicked in the grand-daddy of cool prizes … paid admission to their national youth workers convention in one of three U.S. cities. (A $350 value!) I’ll be speaking at all three conventions this year, so I’ll be looking forward to meeting the winner in person!

DETAILS:

We will be giving away the following prizes:

HOW TO ENTER:
It’s simple:
  1. ake a picture of your hideous heap. You can use a digital camera or your grandpa’s Polaroid and scan it. We don’t care. Just save the picture as a jpg. (If you don’t know how, call your computer geek friend!)

  2. Write a paragraph of 60 words or less informing us of the following:

      A. What you do in youth ministry (ie: I’m a volunteer Sunday School teacher).

      B. Where you do ministry (ie: at First Baptist Church in Collinsville, IL).

      C. A description of your vehicle, explaining why it is a heap.

  3. E-mail us your name, phone #, your 60 words or less paragraph and picture at heap@TheSource4YM.com
CONTEST GUIDELINES:
  1. You must be a youth worker, volunteer or paid to enter this contest.

  2. All entries must be in by midnight, California time, on February 15, 2004.

  3. Entries may come from any country. 1st place prizes are only in the US, but are transferable to your US youth worker friends in one of any of the three cities that it is offered. 2nd and 3rd place prizes can be sent to anywhere in the world … even Oklahoma!

  4. Winners will be announced in THE SOURCE newsletter on April 20, 2004.

Thanks for your work for the kingdom! Keep up the good work!
