You know that Jonathan’s Resources exists to provide resources to youth workers! As I always say, “let’s not waste time . . . everyone needs good resources- here’s one.”

T-shirt Stuff

Try this one this week and add it to your game list- this is a fun, up front game that always brings great laughs. It starts out like the good ol’ Long John Stuff game, except with a T-shirt. Bring up 2, 3, or 4 guys that are wearing t-shirts and have them each choose 2 or 3 friends to help them. Hand each group 10-20 balloons and instruct them to blow them up and stuff them in their designated team member’s t-shirt.

As each group stuffs balloons in their team member’s shirt, he will begin to look like the Stay Puff Marshmellow Man. At a given point (when you see that their shirts are almost maxed out), count down from 10, stop the stuffing and have the “stuffers” go sit down. Have the audience vote by applauding who looks the most stuffed.

If the game ended there, I would think it’s lame. Here’s where the fun begins. Now inform each fat boy that it’s time to pop the balloons. Offer a prize to the person that can pop all their balloons first, (there’s a catch!) without taking them out and without using their hands. They have to throw themselves on the floor, body slamming their torso on the ground to pop all the balloons. This is hilarious to watch and the audience will love it. (And if someone gets hurt . . . you didn’t hear the game from me!)

Truth in Your Pocket

I’m always looking for good deals on youth resources- when I come across one- I’ll always pass it on to you. You’re going to love this one:

I’ve always believed in giving away Bibles- but they’re so expensive. Well, a few years ago I came across a small organization that makes it possible to get Bibles in the hands of anyone who needs them- without killing your budget. The organization is called “Bibles at Cost.” They have a web site, an 800 number, and these guys are no joke! Check this out- you know of that hard cover Life Application Bible that you just paid somewhere between $35 and $40 for at the local Christian Book Store? Well Bibles at Cost has them for $24. You know the same Bible in Leather? My friend just bought his wife one at the Christian book store for $58. Bibles at Cost sells them for $37. Interested yet?

I give away the pocket New Believer’s New Testaments all the time. I just saw them at several Christian stores for between $4 and $6. Bibles at Cost has them for $1.79

It gets better. How much do you pay for CD’s? Don’t tell me you just spent $15.99! Or did you spend $12.99 on sale? These guys have most Christian CD’s for $9.95. They have the WOW CD for $12.95. They have the same great deals on software too.

This is no infomercial . . . it’s just a good deal! “Who’s your daddy?” (Look that one up in my on-line teen lingo dictionary: https://thesource4ym.com/teenlingo )

Jump on their web site or give them a call:
