Everyone was wondering what the Disney/Marvel marriage would look like…well this is it and it is fantastic.
Big Hero 6 is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a cutting-edge robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.
For those of you who are fans of the superhero films, I am convinced that you will love Big Hero 6. And for those of you who are not, I’m convinced you will love it too. It’s so good that most people will forget that it is another superhero origins story that is adapted from the comic book by Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle. A comic book about a team of oddball young students who learn how to defeat villains with high-tech weapons.
This film is filled with lovable characters, great humor and quality animation. And unlike most animated films, this one has a much broader appeal…without going down the road of crude jokes.
The characters are lovable almost immediately and the cast does an incredible job of bringing them to life. Directors Don Hall and Chris Williams do a great job of keeping the pace and story moving in a way that is both entertaining and enjoyable to everyone watching.
My 2 year old and my 13 year old both loved Big Hero 6, and I would be willing to bet that your family will love it too. It’s “Worth Buying.”
SHOULD KIDS SEE IT?
Yes, this one is great for the entire family.
