GREAT NEW MOVIE CLIP DISCUSSION STARTER
A door-opening opportunity this weekend!
So many of you saw it last weekend when it opened in the theaters.? If you haven’t seen it or heard by now, Extreme Days is a Christian film released mainstream nationally that is actually getting a positive response from teens.? The movie’s sound byte is . . . “four guys, one girl, an adventure of a lifetime . . . life’s a trip.”
Unlike LEFT BEHIND, a real disappointment to most of the book’s fans, EXTREME DAYS delivers.
Youth workers in cities across the U.S. bought out entire theaters and showed it to curious teens.? Last weekend a church bought out a theater of over 500, showed the movie and presented the Gospel afterwards.? Over 200 students received Christ right in the theater.
WHAT CAN YOU DO, or more importantly, WHAT CAN IT DO FOR YOU?
Go watch the film this weekend, for two reasons:
1.? Students are talking about it- and there are several discussion starters you can use from this film to open doors to deeper conversation with your students.? Let’s face it, most of us are always looking for a good door opener.? (In the next day or so I’ll update my MOVIE CLIPS PAGE with some discussion questions to use with the film. 2.? This weekend may determine whether the film stays in theaters.? As good as it is, Extreme Days, a film with no nudity, no foul language, no drug use, and no sex or violence has a hard time competing with Halle Berry’s much-bragged-about nudity scene or Freddie Prinze Jr.’s sexual escapades.? I was talking with Scott Lewis, one of the guys who got EXTREME DAYS rolling (the guy you might all know as one of the two guys who brings you those cool TRUTH WEAR videos and products).? He said that this weekend could be the determining factor for this film as well as other Christian films getting their foot in the secular marketplace.
Jonathan’s vote is- SEE THE MOVIE!
