A Game WE CAN’T PLAY From New Zealand. Can You Spell L I A B I L I T Y |
September 12, 2000
As you know Jonathan’s Resources is getting bigger each week because of the fact that YOU can add your great ideas that work! Well, every once in a while I receive a game addition that I can’t add. This past week I received a game idea that made me laugh so hard that I fell from my chair. Not because the game itself was funny- but because of the consistent balance we all are always trying to find between safety and fun! I have left it exactly as it was sent from Tania in New Zealand- and now I show it to you with her permission:
- Game Name: Fireball Soccer
Game Description: Don’t know if you have a game of this type as I haven’t read everything yet!! Anyway this one popped out of my memory.
You build a ball out of kerosene soaked paper and wrapped up with wire netting. This is good fun played on the beach at night time with a large group of youth. Need to have some water handy in case of minor burns. Maybe even a first aid kit. To date we have not had any injuries. Rules could be no kicks of the ball to be made above waist level. Some kids singe their flash shoes.
Anyway just play the game like a normal game of soccer. Heaps of daring fun!!!!
Keep the games coming. Unfortunately this game won’t be added to my page, but many new ones have been. Check them out on my games page:

Youth Specialties Resource Seminars |
Youth Specialties is running some of my top 10 lists in their newsletters recently. They’re a bunch of great guys that provide resources and training for youth workers everywhere. I want to take a moment to plug some of their great opportunities again.
One of the ways Youth Specialties accomplishes training is through top-notch events. They have three national conventions this fall, and over 100 one-day seminars next spring. They’ve also recently partnered with some excellent organizations to bring a very different convention for pastors. Great events! Check out the links below.
