NEW SCAVENGER HUNTS |
Throughout the school year I’m always looking for different events or activities that I can do for my weekly program to break up any monotony. Here’s two great ideas, perfect examples of these type of events.
PIZZA SCAVENGER HUNT |
Split group into teams. (Make sure first of all, that you have vehicles, and an oven for each team to use.) The team will be given a list with several items needed to make a pizza.
For example:
(cups, drinks, plates, etc. can be added to make the list longer).
Each team must go door to door in your community, trying to collect ONE ingredient from each house. You can allow them to buy one and only ONE item from a store.
Once the items are collected, the teams must go to the location where there oven is waiting, and prepare their pizza, cook it, and bring it back to the facility. The first team to collect all items, bake the pizza, and arrive at the facility wins. Finish with a meal of the created pizzas,(and possibly some bought pizzas, in case the others don’t turn out so appetizing).
COOKIE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE |
Split group into teams. (Make sure first of all, that you have vehicles, and an oven for each team to use.) The team will be given a list with several items needed to make cookies.
For example:
flour
sugar
baking soda
chocolate chips
butter
brown sugar
salt
cookie sheet
bowl
Each team must go door to door in your community, trying to collect ONE ingredient from each house. You can allow them to buy one and only ONE item from a store.
Once the items are collected, the teams must go to the location where there oven is waiting. Without a recipe they must prepare their cookies, cook them, and bring them back to the facility. The first team to collect all items, bake the cookies, and arrive at the facility wins.
Enjoy eating the cookies when you’re done (even though they might taste funky!)

NEED NEW GAMES AND IDEAS? Another Good Game Website |
People send me links for web-sites all the time. Very often when I’m sent one of these- it’s just a site promoting the sales of some book or another. Or maybe a site with just a handful of games.
Well this week Kit emailed me from the UK – and his site is worth checking out.
Kit has a good amount of games, arranged by type, he also has mind benders, dramas and more! Good stuff.
