A Peek at Episode #4: In this episode Jonathan records remotely in Dallas, Texas with author, speaker, urban youth leader and founder of Urbnet, Fred Lynch. Jonathan and Fred tackle some of the racial issues that people in ministry are hesitant to address. This podcast will feature:
- Fred shares the SEVEN SINS THAT WHITE PEOPLE COMMIT REACHING KIDS OF COLOR, sharing some keen insight about how NOT TO reach out to kids of all races (and then, how TO do it effectively).
- In the “Youth Culture Window” section, Jonathan and Fred discuss all the “hype” about the rumor of hip hop music?s decline.
- Then Jonathan and Fred go on to highlight an article about doing BIG events in “small budget” neighborhoods.
- They close the episode by answering youth ministry questions in the “Help Me” section including some questions about current “slanguage.”
- Podcast #5 will feature author and youth ministry game guru Les Christie. Les will be sharing his own SEVEN SINS OF GAME LEADING
- Look for a SPECIAL PODCAST where we will skip our normal format to bring you a message Jonathan preached to the congregation at WARD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH-a message titled “God’s Grace is for Everyone… isn’t it?”
- Podcast #6 will feature Timber-lee Camp’s Chris Radloff along with Jonathan and Furby. Chris will share the SEVEN SINS OF MANAGING VOLUNTEERS IN YOUTH MINISTRY

Dan Kimball says this about Jonathan’s new book:
“This book seriously is one which I believe could help shape and inspire the future of youth ministry evangelism. Jonathan is not afraid to ask the hard uncomfortable questions and doesn’t ignore the elephants we normally do about youth evangelism. But, despite the uncomfortable reality he raises, he gives such practical advice and, most of all, hope for the Gospel being communicated to youth.”
-Dan Kimball, author of The Emerging Church and They Like Jesus, but not the Church
