The Candy Stand
Actors
6 people (2 people to hold the broomstick, 1 to be the stand owner, and 3 to be customers)
Supplies
1 broomstick
Setting:
2 people walk on stage (with one of them holding the broomstick). When they get to center stage, they turn and face one another and hold the broomstick between them, making a “table” of sorts. The broomstick acts as a “countertop” for the candy stand. They hold it throughout the skit. When the “countertop” is in place, the stand owner walks in and stands behind the counter facing the crowd.
Stand Owner: CANDY HERE! LOADS OF DELICIOUS CANDY HERE!
Customer 1: (Walks up to the candy stand and says) Hey. You got any Twizzlers?
Stand Owner: O darn, I just sold my last one ten minutes ago. Sorry! (Customer 1 walks off stage or out of the picture.)
Customer 2: (Walks up to the candy stand and says) Hey. You have any Snickers?
Stand Owner: Man, I'm fresh out! Sorry. (Customer 2 also walks off stage.)
Customer 3: (Walks up to the candy stand and says) Hey man, I've had a craving all day for some Tootsie Rolls.
Stand Owner: O gosh. I hate to disappoint you, but I don't have any left.
Customer 3: WELL WHAT DO YOU HAVE THEN?!?!
Store Owner: (Points to the people holding the stick) All I have is two suckers on a stick!
